File upload from other file hosting services and via FTP

File upload from other file hosting services and via FTP
02/03/2010

Since today we start implementation of new multiple promised features, and here are the first of them. Now Uploading.com officially supports remote upload from several major file hosting services - rapidshare.com, megaupload.com, depositfiles.com and hotfile.com.

However there is a limitation - this option would be available for premium members only. Please note that this change does not effect standard file remote upload - any user can upload files from direct URL and FTP addresses, including the links that require authentication (e.g. login:password@server.com). In addition we expect significant increase of file upload bandwidth next week, what would reduce the remote upload file queue.

The same limitation would work for FTP access to the servers - only premium membership owners will be able to upload files to the service via FTP. We have to take this restriction in order not to overload the system. We would like to note that in the very near future we will release an alternative to FTP upload method - file desktop uploader.

Alongside with these changes we have significantly decreased PIN code prices for our partners. For example, 3 day premium access would be 3 USD only, and a premium account for a half of a year would cost 20 USD. In order to encourage our partners to obtain premium accounts we promise there would be new features released soon, and they will be available for premium users only.

Should you have any questions about new rules please address them to our support team.
